Maxim Updates Its App in Thailand: Faster Ride Booking and More Precise Pick-up Points

Maxim Thailand, one of the leaders in urban mobility in Thailand, has released the latest version of its mobile application, introducing two major enhancements designed to simplify the ride-hailing experience and make every journey more convenient for both passengers and drivers.

One of the new improvements automatically displays passengers’ most frequently used pick-up and drop-off locations directly on the main order screen. Instead of typing an address or searching through ride history, users can select a destination with a single tap. By analysing regular travel patterns, the app suggests the most relevant locations, significantly reducing the time required to create a ride order. For even faster access, users can also save and pin frequently visited places in the “Favourites” section.

Another key enhancement is the upgraded “Pick-up Point” system. In addition to displaying the designated meeting point on the map, the app now provides a more precise and clearly defined pick-up location for both passengers and drivers. This helps drivers navigate to appropriate stopping locations more accurately, reducing confusion and the risk of traffic violations or fines, while enabling passengers to identify the correct meeting point quickly and easily, even in complex environments such as shopping malls, airports, railway stations, university campuses, and large event venues.

The feature is particularly valuable in busy cities such as Chiang Mai, Korat, and Phuket, where designated pick-up areas are often spread across multiple entrances, exits, or floors. By making pick-up locations easier to identify, the updated system helps reduce missed connections, improves coordination between passengers and drivers, and creates a smoother ride-hailing experience.

“We continuously analyse user feedback and have identified two of the most common challenges: repeatedly entering the same addresses and finding the correct meeting point in crowded locations. This update addresses both issues while also supporting our driver-partners. Clearly identifying a legal pick-up location improves road safety and creates a smoother experience for everyone,” said Mr.Pongpath Aksaraworakarn, Managing Director of Maxim in Thailand.

The latest version of the Maxim app is now available for free download via the App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android), AppGallery, Galaxy Store, GetApps, and on the Maxim website at https://taximaxim.com/th/th/9335-chiang+mai/order- for users across Thailand. Existing users will receive an update notification, while those who have not yet installed the latest version are encouraged to update the app to enjoy the improved interface and new features.

This release forms part of Maxim’s long-term strategy to further digitalise its services and continuously improve the quality of every ride. The company remains committed to developing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of passengers and driver-partners across Thailand.
